DESCRIPTION:This 1 day course lays the foundation for all future pistol training. Safety\, range etiquette\, clearing\, loading\, equipment\, fundamentals of fire\, draw-stroke\, clearing stoppages\, common mistakes\, and warrior mindset are the main subjects tackled in this essential course. Though this training is designed for beginners\, the subject matter and technique allows students to build realistic skills that can survive the test of stress and small time constraints. \n\nClass will be led by one of the following WPS Instructors: Paul Perkerson / John Lovell / Josh Kent\nWho Can Attend? \n\n\n 	All U.S citizens ages 18 and up that are legally allowed to own/purchase/possess a firearm.\n\nWhat Do You Need? \n\n\n 	A quality semi-automatic pistol – (Until further notice SIG P320 or SIG P320 variations are not allowed)\n 	A kydex-type holster affording trigger guard coverage \n\n\n 	Tier1 Concealed Appendix Holster\n 	T.REX Arms Side Car Holster (MR920/Glock19)\n 	LE / MIL Safariland Retention Holster\n\n\n 	5 magazines (fully loaded upon arrival) with at least 1 magazine holster\n 	500 rounds of ammunition\n 	Ear and Eye protection\n\nRecommended:\n \n\n\n 	Sunscreen/ bugspray\n 	Lots of water/snacks\n 	Clothing and Headware suitable for crappy weather\n 	Blade-Tech Accessories\n 	Battle Gnome Belt Loadout\n 	John’s War Belt Loadout\n 	Note taking material\n 	Vertx Clothing/Accessories\n\nRefund Policy for Classes  \nBeginning 01 January 2025\, an updated refund policy for WPS Training events will be in effect. SUMMARY:SIG - PSR 103: Reach for a Thousand (8 Hours)
DESCRIPTION:Overview\nIn this intermediate long-distance course\, Academy instructors will assist students in hitting targets out to 1\,000 yards at the SIG SAUER Academy long distance shooting range. This one-day course offers shooters the opportunity to test their skills at extreme ranges not normally found at most other shooting facilities. Following a review of basic marksmanship skills\, Academy instructors guide students through the challenges of successfully engaging paper and steel targets at 100 yards\, 200 yards\, 300 yards\, 550 yards\, 650 yards\, 750 yards\, and 1\,000 yards.\n\n\n\nExperience Requirements\nPrecision Scoped Rifle 102 or equivalent is mandatory to attend this class. Scopes is preferred but not mandatory. Students must be able to spend prolonged periods in the prone shooting position and participate in alternate positional shooting positions.\n\nStudents failing to meet and maintain our safety requirements and/or who cannot meet and immediately demonstrate the minimum skills required for the specific class may be removed from training. DESCRIPTION:Overview\nPrecision Scoped Rifle 101 is the foundational shooting class in the Precision Scoped Rifle series. This comprehensive three-day class begins the entry level precision scoped rifle shooter’s journey down the road to confidently hitting relatively small targets at distances out to 1\,000 yards. This class introduces and explains common terminology and nomenclature relative to scopes\, rifles\, and match grade ammunition. The concepts of minute-of-angle\, milliradians\, scope adjustments\, mounting scopes\, and data book usage are introduced\, thoroughly explained\, and applied. Great emphasis is placed on the shooter’s rifle being fitted to them and developing a “shot process” with which to apply to every shot. The student is taught the importance of recording in a data book even minute details relative to each engagement.
