SUMMARY:RIFLE 102 - SIG SAUER ACADEMY
DESCRIPTION:Overview\nOnce students have completed a quick warm-up\, they will delve deeper into the basics\, covering all the science and best practices behind the zeroing process. Students will work through a progression of drills; bolt-lock reloads\, multiple target transitions\, malfunction clearance\, as well as alternative shooting positions with the goal of building their rifle manipulation skill confidence. In Rifle 102\, students will begin to track their performance and focus on the practice phase of SIG SAUER Academy’s training methodology of performance-based training. Rifle 102 will solidify the appropriate rifle fundamentals preparing the student for Rifle 103.\n\nExperience Requirements\nRifle 101 or an equivalent course is required prior to attending. The student needs to know and be able to demonstrate safe gun handling\, weapon system familiarity\, and foundational marksmanship skills. Students failing to meet and maintain our safety requirements and/or who cannot meet and immediately demonstrate the minimum skills required for the specific class may be removed from training. Please ensure you have read through the class description and fully understand our prerequisites before registering.\n\nCourse Outline\nUpon successful completion of this course\, students will be able to:\n\nProperly group and zero a rifle\nAccurately hit targets out to 50 yards with confidence\nPerform bolt-lock reloads\nEfficiently engage multiple targets\nUnderstand and apply alternative shooting positions\nEfficiently recognize and fix common rifle malfunctions\n\n\n\nEquipment List\n\nSemi-automatic rifle or carbine with sling and optic (calibers supported: .300 BLK\, 5.56\, 7.62NATO)\n\nAbsolutely NO pistol braces and NO sub guns\n\n\n3 magazines\nMagazine pouches\nSturdy belt at least 1.5″ wide\nFootwear suitable for rapid movement and turning\nClothing suitable for training in any weather\nWraparound eyewear\, polycarbonate lenses or non-shattering prescription glasses\nEar protection\n\nTuition includes free loan of firearms\, holsters\, safety glasses and hearing protection at the Epping\, NH\, New Smyrna Beach\, FL\, and Colorado Springs\, CO locations.\n\nAmmo\n\nEstimated round count: 550 rounds rifle\nLead core ammunition to be used on steel only\nNo green/brown tip\, armor piercing\, or surrogate rounds to be used on steel at any time\nAmmunition is available for purchase from the Epping\, New Smyrna Beach\, and Colorado Springs facilities only\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCLICK HERE TO REGISTER
